The Gambia evening was a great success with a record number of performances and members of the audience. Students were a credit to themselves, the school and their parents. There were 4 dance performances, a dramatic poetry reading which involved audience participation in making the sound of rain and also African drumming. In addition this year students read out their Gambia detective stories written during English Gambia project lessons. Students and staff who went on the annual trip to Gambia shared their experiences and impressions of The Gambia. The student work on display was of a very high standard and the chicken yassa cooked by year 7s and Mrs Bartlett was very popular. Some parents and students even took part in dressing up in traditional clothes.
Many thanks to the performance staff who always support the evening with their students and also Mrs Bartlett for all the lovely food.
