Teachers, parents, grandparents and students were blown away by the quality and variety of work on display at our Year 11 exhibition this year.
Our magnificent display space in the mall – the envy of visiting Art teachers, was a perfect backdrop to some stunning Art, textiles and graphics work. There was a huge variety of pieces – paintings, drawings, prints, collages, photographs, sculpture, painted/embroidered fabric and woodwork. Every single student had at least one piece displayed.
It was a treat for us to meet the families of these talented students ; to hear their stories and to see the subjects of portraits ‘come alive’.
The competition for ‘Best in Show’, judged by Art teacher/ street artist James Waterfield, was won by one of Emma Chivers’ paintings. Ronald Chivers took the prize for being the proudest granddad!
