Chichester University Enterprising Women – 2016

Chichester Uni Visit9 Year 10 girls attended this presitigeous event on Wednesday 16th November at Chichester University.  Students were given the opportunity to attend in business dress rather than school uniform.  Following an introduction from the Guest speaker Anne Morrison – Deputy Chair – BAFTA  students were given the opportunity to interview some of the following:

* Natalie Martin – Director – Kitch Media 

* Dr Lyn Batchelor – Coordinator BA Business Studies Degree Programme and Senior Lecturer in Enterprise – University of Chichester

* Vicky Silverthorn – Professional Organiser – Director and Founder – You Need A Vicky 

* Sara Allen – CEO – Further&More 

* Lope Ariyo – Food Blogger and Cookbook Author 

* Abi Ramanan – CEO – Papi’s Pickles, DayOld and ImpactVision

Students were able to hear first hand how their careers developed, opportunities they sought, drive, determination and finding out what they enjoy doing in order to be successful in their career or business.  There was also a Skills and Interest Work shop where students completed activities to match their personalities to possible career routes.  The day was very inspiring.
