Curriculum Provision: Apprentice Teaching Assistant for Admiral Lord Nelson School

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who wishes to be trained as a Teaching Assistant. The apprenticeship will be made up of practical employment experience whilst having an education programme that will lead on to a nationally recognised qualification. You will learn to work in a secondary school environment supporting the learning and care of students working within a team. You will learn to work with a team and as an individual. Duration of the apprenticeship will vary depending on entry qualifications. Observation and assessment by professional teachers and assessors, takes place throughout the term of apprenticeship to build upon your levels of understanding leading toward your qualification.

The Salterns Academy Trust is a learning community where every member of staff understands the difference they can make to our students’ outcomes.  It was formed when Admiral Lord Nelson School (ALNS) became a converter academy in April 2014 as a means of developing ever closer working relationships with our primary and secondary partner schools.
