ALNS dance company to be part of the Journeys Festival International!

Journeys Portsmouth

On Saturday 28th October at 330 and 3.45 some students from ALNS Dance Company will be part of a huge community event which looks to celebrate the creative talent of refuges and asylum seekers through art and culture. The festival is happening in various locations throughout Portsmouth and there will be a wide range of workshops, theatre performances, films and discussions happening across the city.

Following on from the ALNS Rock challenge performance last year, which was based on refugees, the students were invited to perform at a Red Cross event in June which resulted in them being asked to create a piece based on the journeys of some of the refugees who now live in Portsmouth.  This is a tremendous achievement for the students involved and one that is not to be missed. The performances will happen at Portsmouth Cathedral on the 28th October at 330 and 3.45 so please come along and support these amazing students.
