Performing Arts Evening

On the last full school day of 2017, 80 students spent the day rehearsing a range of performances for Performing Arts Evening.

150 audience members were treated to some of the best Music, Drama and Dance performances that ALNS has to offer. The evening included a preview of the next school show “Matilda” (coming in March) and a short extract from our entry into this year’s Rock Challenge ,which will be performed in February at the Guildhall. Music included performances from Year 10 and Year 11 bands as well as solo performances from Lawrence Coqueral, Tallulah Tilt and Shanaya May. The Drama ambassadors presented their version of the Christmas story and Dance students performed a wide range of different pieces which ranging from contemporary pieces to commercial dance.

All of the students involved performed brilliantly truly demonstrating why ALNS remains an Artsmark school. The audience had their turn at the end of the evening when we closed with audience participation and Christmas carols.

Congratulations to all of the students who were involved and to the staff who work so hard rehearsing with them.
