On Wednesday 14th March, ALNS students spent the day finding, writing and reading the news, for the BBC School Report. They didn’t have to look far to find some incredible news stories including; Ms Lucas’ Influential Women Award, the school’s work with The Gambia and the recent snow day. Matthew said: “It’s really tense trying to get all the news done to the deadline but it’s really exciting at the same time”. Mr Holmes said: “It’s a great day for the students involved because they manage the whole thing themselves. They have to organise all of the interviews and make sure the whole thing comes together. They learn to be truly independent.” If you think this opportunity sounds exciting, keep your eyes peeled for applications for next year’s School report.
