Campsite Rules

Tile Barn’s rules:

  • Noise and light curfew from 10.30pm until 7.00am.
  • Absolutely no litter to be left around site.
  • No students to enter areas that are out of bounds.
  • Radios/ CD/iPod/MP3 players are not allowed on the site.

Additional rules for ALNS camp:

  • Once the tent village is erected the students will be shown where they can access the area as they could injure themselves going between the guy ropes.
  • The kitchen area is out of bounds to all students.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the campsite unless accompanied by staff.
  • Any food in tents will need to be in airtight containers; otherwise it may attract our animal friends from the forest.
  • Mobile phones will not be allowed.  Students will have access to the school mobile phones on site should they need to ring home. However, should you know of any reason in advance that your child may need to call home, please could we be made aware prior to your child leaving for camp.
  • All valuables that students bring to camp are brought at their own risk and we therefore recommend that the fewer brought the better.  Neither ALNS nor Tile Barn will be held liable for lost, damaged or stolen valuables brought on to the campsite.
  • Parents will be expected to contribute towards costs of repair or replacement of any damage caused to tents as a result of poor student behaviour. Refusal to do so could result in your child being disallowed from attending any future residential trips.
  • Normal school rules apply at all times!
