Students tour the expansion

A small group of Year 11 students (currently considering a trade or a career in construction) were taken on a tour of the new site by the Neilcott Construction Project Manager, Aaron Bonage, on Tuesday 3rd March. Although these students won’t directly benefit from the new site and facilities the internal spaces are now taking shape, it allowed them to get an idea of how each area will come to life.

Students and staff at the area previously used as the main entrance. This area will remain an open space connecting the old building with the new.

After the visit, Matt Hutton, Deputy Headteacher said, “It was a real pleasure to take some of our Year 11 students to show them the new building as it takes shape.  It was also a good opportunity for them to ask questions about careers in construction”

More tours of the site are planned for students as the build progresses.
