Acts of Kindness – Josh’s Head Shave

During this difficult and unprecedented time that we are all facing, it’s nice to hear about some of the nice things people are doing for each other.

We thought we’d take some time to share some of these stories with you.

Our first story is about one of our Year 10 students, Josh.

Josh carried out a fund raising head shave to raise money to buy some care packages for the NHS staff to say thank you.

Josh’s aunty is a nurse and the family have had a few brushes with cancer, so Josh chose to donate to the outpatients’ booking centre and the Oncology department’s outpatients’ department.

Josh went on to raise £185 from a JustGiving page!

He passed this onto NHS worker Harley Stevens, who is also a body shop consultant. Harley increased the fund to £305 and, as a result of this, 56 goody bags were given out to staff within these departments at QA hospital in Cosham.

Well done Josh – we’re very proud of you!
