Always oversubscribed, we are expanding our school so that more local families can experience the excellent education offered here at Admiral Lord Nelson School for over two decades!

Therefore, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Design who enjoys working within a supportive and dedicated team.  We are looking for a teacher who specialises in either Food & Nutrition, Photography, 3D Design or Graphics. We are looking for strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across subjects, if needed.  We want a teacher who quickly builds relationships with students and breaks down barriers to learning.  A teacher who inspires children to achieve their potential and loves to see their students experiencing the joy of success every day in their learning!

As a school we are passionate about providing all students with the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of Design subjects at Key Stage 3, with a growing number of students opting to choose a Design subject as a Key Stage 4 option. We are expanding our department to allow us to expand our offer at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The right candidate will teach and contribute to a successful, innovative and highly motivated team of Design teachers and Technicians committed to delivering a stimulating and challenging Design curriculum.  This position is suitable for an NQT or experienced teachers.

Early applications are encouraged and we reserve the right to close the vacancy if a suitable candidate is found.

If you are interested in joining our amazing team of staff, we’d love to hear from you! Informal visits from those who are interested in finding out more about the role are welcomed.  We look forward to discussing what unique skills you could bring to the role and how we could help support you in the next steps of your career.
