England Vs Italy – Euro 2020 Final – Letter to Parents

England Vs Italy – Euro 2020 Final

Sunday evening’s football match is perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a unique National occasion that we want all of our students to be able to experience and enjoy; if of course they are interested in football. In line with what the Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said and with what some other schools are doing we would much prefer that students were well rested on Monday before attending lessons rather than coming in at the normal time and being tired and exhausted all day. Therefore we have taken the decision that on Monday lessons will not start until after break at 10.25am.

We still need to ensure a staggered start for students from different year groups under the current guidance and therefore we would like Year 7 and Year 8 students to arrive at 10.25am to 10.35am, and Year 9 and Year 10 students to arrive between 10.35am and 10.45am. Students should come into the school site through the entrance they normally use.

We realise that for some parents this might be inconvenient due to your own work commitments and so school gates will be open as usual from 8am if you want your child to attend at the normal time of 8.30am. Between 8.30am and 10.25am students will be supervised working independently and they will have access to computers to do this, if they do not have a Chromebook.

Let’s hope for a really enjoyable and successful weekend because after all – it may be coming home.

Yours sincerely,
