Prospective Parents’ Evening

Come along to see for yourself why ALNS was awarded best school in the UK for Creativity in our Curriculum!

You can also learn more about our school by clicking the button below.

The evening will include:

A talk from the Headteacher, Mrs Hardingham, accompanied by the Head Boy, Head Girl and some of our younger students.

Afterwards, they will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have.

This will take place during two different time slots.

Small group tours, led by students
(a great opportunity to ask them any questions
you may have about school life here).

Staff from every department will be in their classrooms to introduce their subjects and answer any questions about the courses we offer and the different curriculum routes.

In addition, departments will be running various activities and taster sessions to give you a broad idea of what their courses involve.

Some examples:

  • Drama - various games for students (and parents!) to join in and some small performances/sketches to watch.
  • Music - Some musical challenges! How are your ukulele, keyboard or xylophone skills? How good do you want them to be? Pop along and find out!
  • Health and Fitness - Various sporty activities in the sports hall - such as trampolining, badminton, table tennis and more.
  • Design - The 3D printer and industry-standard laser cutter will be working away for you to see them in action. Photography will also be running a mini-studio for some spur-of-the-moment photoshoots!
  • Maths - How good are your logic/maths skills?Come along to try a variety of maths-based games and challenges.
  • Modern Foreign Languages - Conversations in French at the snacks table! Some timed competitions using our touch-screen Chromebooks.

and more to come!
