ALNS PE gets GOLD... AGAIN!

Since the start of this week, I have been busy completing our application for School Games Mark, which is a government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sports Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of their sports provisions. You have to review your current sports offers and create an action plan for continued commitment and improvement with your vision for how you wish to continue to drive sport forwards within your school and in the community.
I am delighted to announce that ALNS have achieved the School Games GOLD mark award for the 2024/25 academic year. It is our 6th consecutive year of gaining GOLD standard, which really demonstrates the ongoing commitment we are making to school sport. This year we have had many great sporting successes from our teams and individual athletes in every year group; our PD days have been a huge success with high levels of engagement and enjoyment and energy in lessons, through our broad and balance curriculum offer, has been a real strength.
I feel so proud that our hard work has been recognised and am thankful to everyone at school for their support and positive visions in continuing to maintain standards and drive sport forwards.
Obviously, a special thanks goes to my fantastic PE team who go above and beyond every day to ensure our students get the best possible sporting experience...THANK YOU!
