Headteacher Letter to Parents
Dear parents,
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Christmas and thank you for all your support and for everything you do to help your child be successful at school.
We asked for your support this term with making sure your child was fully equipped with everything they need for school and this has been so much better as a result. Across the school we have focused on consistent expectations and lessons starting promptly and we know from students that this has been so much better in their experience.
There have been many highlights of the term and there have never been so many clubs and trips that students have got fully involved with. Student Voice continues to support us with in many areas with students taking an active part in leading the school forwards. Many of your children helped out at the Year 6 Open Evening and the feedback from parents was how impressed they were by the students they met and how proud they are of their school. It was great to see so many of you at our Awards Evening where we had an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of over 100 students. This week it was great to see 220 Year 7 students off to enjoy the Panto at the Kings Theatre. Oh yes they did!
After the Christmas break school reopens to all students on Monday 6th January at the usual time. As a reminder we also have an Inset Day on Monday 20th January.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a chance to rest and relax together. It would also be lovely if Santa topped up everybody's pencil cases ready for the start of term.
Yours sincerely
Chris Doherty
